Welcome To The Official Website of Cam R. (a.k.a. Untilted)

With over four years of self-directed and formal experience in illustration, fine arts, and graphic design, a strong foundation in visual storytelling and artistic technique is evident in every work of art, especially that of a comic strip called Untilted.

If you're looking to discover more diverse styles of art beyond the usual "iconic and trendy" names, and recognize that maybe, just maybe, less recognized independent artists have a chance to potentially get better and deserve a chance to shine, you know who to go to!

I specialize in the following: Mixed media/digital/traditional illustration, comic art/cartooning, pixel art, abstract art, and miniature art, intended for all ages and audiences.

Please get in touch with me by sending me an email if you're looking to collaborate or use my works!

Frequently Asked Questions About The Artist

Why is it .lol and not .com?

Because almost everyone uses .com for their professional website, and I would like my website to stand out. Next question.

How often do you release new comics?

For Untilted, every 3 days. The reason is because I'm one of those people who need extra time to do most things, and that includes things I'm passionate about. So I don't do dailies or hourlies or stuff like that. However, I always manage to be on time for everything. For 😐︎, I tend to post more erratically.

Is your art Safe For Work or Not Safe For Work?

All my art is created for a general audience and is not primarily directed at either children or adults. Anything I produce that may be interpreted to reflect an intent to target either children or adults is solely an artistic expression of my vision and does not imply that the content is indeed intended for children or adults. The themes and narratives are designed to engage readers and viewers of all ages, and no elements have been included with the specific intent to appeal predominantly to either children or adults. We don't all think in a "for kids"/"for adults" binary here, and I'm not here to judge either side for existing.

But if it makes you feel better, know that my art contains little to no: sexual themes, violence, obscene, or other mature themes not suitable for young audiences. And I never use explicit profanity. However, my art is never too sanitized either. In any case there's no need for age verification restrictions based on content on this website, except maybe to check if banking details are accurate for fraud protection purposes, but I think that would be very rare.

What materials or software do you use to create your art?

Like many, I use pen and ink and occasionally markers. However, what sets me apart from other artists is that I am willing to try and combine many different and often unlikely mediums such as glitter pens, acrylic paint, and more. So, basically, a "use what you got" mentality that is more thoughtful. I also mostly rely on digital software such as GNU Image Manipulation Program, Krita, and Inkscape. I do occasionally have to use Adobe apps such as Photoshop and Illustrator for when I want to do a certain thing that free software can't replicate, but overall I rely on mostly free and open source software to make my digital artwork. I also aim to avoid using artificial intelligence at all costs due to some ethical and environmental concerns. I am aware that digital art is the most susceptible to being copied by AI, so I always try to make sure that no AI is used.

What DON'T you do, anyway?

Here is what I do NOT do, for those willing to respect my boundaries:

  • Graphic novel/manga/superhero comics (not my expertise)
  • Game and software development (I only do web dev/design, but NOT as a service, just as a hobby)
  • Livestreaming (takes up too much time and requires equipment that is too expensive for me to buy at the moment)
  • Fan art and fiction (due to copyright concerns and the fact that I'm not that passionate about most IPs and other media)
  • Sell merch/art prints/stickers/stock photos and illustrations/texture and brush packs/online teaching and learning courses/anything involving adult content, suggestive content, cryptocurrency, non-fungible tokens, and artificial intelligence.

Preferences

β˜‘ mildly saturated colors

β˜‘ abstract surrealism

β˜‘ digital errors (intentional)

β˜‘ no-plot/stream of consciousness type stories

β˜‘ random, haphazard stuff that isn't too time-consuming

β˜‘ I work with any and almost all art styles and sometimes even combine them (anime, realism, etc.)

Limitations:

β€’ All my art is typically provided as digital files in various image formats. I am not able to sell or give away physical copies (or the original physical versions) at the time, due to preservation concerns.

β€’ I can only do pieces less than 9 by 12 in. due to a lack of space on my end. I will not be accepting exceptions.

β€’ If you have any questions about any other potential limitations I may have that are not listed on this website, contact me.

About This Website.

This is the official website for all art and other creative (and non-creative!) projects by Cam R.

I'm trying to revisit my artistic roots from high school after spending so much time away from art, so I dedicated my website untilted.lol for this purpose. In addition, I may also do other non-artistic things like coding and writing, because I would also like to have a life outside of my hobby and my career.

untilted.lol is completely run on my own as both a personal and professional/commercial website. I am not seeking to employ anyone for anything I do, as I would like to be able to do almost all things (including web design, marketing, and more) by myself in order to challenge myself. I also may take breaks from time to time. Click here to read more about me and my qualifications.
